We played our show for some families of the refugee camp "ZAST" after we´ve given circus workshops for their kids. It´s so interesting to try to communicate and teach someone without using language :)

First show at the trailer park

On Saturday we did our first presentation during the Summer Party at the Trailer Park in Braunschweig. We gave an overview of our possibilities. It was more like an improvisation. It was interesting for us to see what members of are able to do. It was fun !! After the show we could enjoyed the party.

Today we organized very well the time. We have separated the afternoon in the three group to do three different worshops: theater dance, ballet and juggling. Plus some of us could try to use the rig. One of the most important step to start to prepare the show.

What do you expect from the project?
Know new people who love circus for different reasons from me and go around Germany with a show that we will do a lot of time and that will be always better

What about you? I decide to live in different ways so I want to try to mix circus with my university ,I study italian litterature, and my work, I do the "factotum" in a society which organize a lots of events. I like to be in different place in my life.

Third day: no rig but sun

The third day started without rain and with a good portion of Yoga.
After this exhausting warm up we started theatre improvisation and clowning. The main rule was simple: just do what you feel to do. The result? a big mess, but a awesome mess! There was so much energy running between us!

The mission for today was to build up the rig. It's a big yellow iron stuff of 8 meters to hang all the aerials. After two hours of putting together all the pieces, we had to interrupt it because there was one little thing missing! So, no aerial for today... Hopefully, it should be okay for tomorrow. We pray for it.

During the afternoon, Christof made us do some acrobalance like pyramides and dynamic acrobatics (Watch the pictures!). For the first time, the whole group made a common creation that can be used for the show.

To conclude the day, Kim introduced us to the art of massage and relaxation. There were 3 victims: they fell asleep during the workshop!

For the meal, a special team from Italy (Francesco, Sara and Filippo) cooked their national pride: pasta! It was amazing, I love Italy!

This will be our new training place:The children circus Dobbelino in Braunschweig. We´ll have two training rooms, a big outside area and a lot of materials. In June we´ll begin to set up tents and build a workshop, showers and a kitchen. The place is not far from the center of Braunschweig and we already have our first date to play our show in the city.

Hey everybody!

This mail is for giving you the first key information about our circus-theater-project this summer, so you can decide if you're interested in taking part.

There is already an "idea paper" with an outline of the project's contents on our blog here: www.kleinkunstriesen.blogspot.com It is available in different languages, although you should be able to understand english, what we are assuring with this mail :)

Most important for you will be the dates: The complete project will take 9 months of time starting on 1st of July. The actual active part, where we put together and develop a show, train, learn, perform and have fun is set from 4th of August until 12th of September. It is essential for you to be able to stay for all the active part. During the first 3 weeks we will stay at the Traumschule in Riebau, the rest of the active part is taking place in different locations, where we'll perform our show and give workshops to local community centers for children. Before and after the project's active part there will be meetings, but not with all the group. We'll all stay in email contact to evaluate the project.

About us:
We are four students from Germany who are organising the Kleinkunstriesen-project since November last year. We are organising all the fundamental things, like getting money from different sources, finding the locations for the training part and for performing the show, etc.

Eventhough we already put down the theme of the show, the concrete outline and details will be build on your disciplines and ideas and put together during the active part. This will be a community action and we don't want to give you a finished project to study. It is about you!!! Disciplines that we think would fit are juggling, acrobatics, stilts, theater, puppeteering, music, clowing and balance. We also want to build coulisses, costumes and whatever we feel in need of.
Also important: We are not professionals, but if you are, and still want to take part, that'd be great!

If you want to participate in this extraordinary action plan this summer, it would be great to get some information from you:
What are your expectations? What are your disciplines? What do you want to do? What do you want to learn? Which part of the project are you most interested in? (Performing? Building coulisses? Music? You have a discipline that we didn't mention yet?) Please give us those information until the 15th of April, but as soon as possible!

We are trying to raise money from the EU (youth in action program - that's why everybody needs to be between 18 and 30, if you are younger there may be some possibilities, contact us!). That program would include all current costs for food, sleeping arrangements, training rooms, etc, but travel costs and health insurance (valid for Germany!) are your responsibility. We may be able to refund some of it afterwards.
This project is non-profit (in financial terms)! You can't earn money here!

It would be great hearing from you until the 15th of April! Be sure that you are free for all the active part!

The "Kleinkunstriesen" are planing a circus theater project in the north of Germany this summer:
"Haste mal nen Markt?"

We need a lot of creative folks who like to join us in our work!
One part of the project is planned in the "Traumschule" (Salzwedel/D) for getting to know each other, exchange skills, create a show. In the second part we´ll travel around Germany to perform!
